JANUARY

Romans 3:21-26

‘But the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it–the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe, for there is no distinction:   For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, who God put forth as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.  This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forebearance he had passed over former sins.  It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.’

Ephesians 2:3-10

‘We were by nature children of wrath like the rest of mankind.  But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ–by grace you have been saved–and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that, in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.  By grace you have been saved through faith, this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.  We are his workmanship created for good works in Christ Jesus, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.’

FEBRUARY

Psalm 73:25-26

Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Philippians 3:7-10

But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.  Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.  For his sake, I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ, being found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness of God that depends on faith, that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, so that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.’

APRIL
Ezekiel 36:

‘I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleanliness and from all your idols you shall be clean. I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.’
